Supreme Leader Meets Army Commanders

Ayatollah Khamenei the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces met today with a group of Army commanders. Speaking during the meeting, which had been arranged on the occasion of Army Day, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution urged the Army to render services to the people and reiterated: "When a sincere effort is made to utilize intellectual and physical capabilities, God will bestow His assistance and blessings on that effort and the ground will be prepared for making increasing achievements."
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that a precise timetable should be prepared for the implementation of projects in the country. He added: "One of the things which the Armed Forces, especially the Army, should pay attention to is to renovate military bases and to prepare an appropriate professional environment for the Armed Forces."
In this meeting, General Salehi the Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan the Commander of the Army's Ground Forces presented a report about the plans and projects of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army.
At the beginning of this meeting, the participants said their midday prayers led by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
