Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that all people and state-run organizations should contribute to promotion of domestic industries and agriculture.
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remark in a meeting with thousands of enthusiastic laborers on the threshold of 'Labor Day' in Tehran.
Islamic Revolution Leader said Islam attaches importance to dignity and status of laborers.
"Laborers played significant role in the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and many political groups including communists tried in vain to mislead them but workers strongly thwarted their plots," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Mass presence of laborers on the scene of sacred defense truly indicates their royalty to Islamic Revolution and Iran," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Committed Iranian laborers are determined to continue their struggle with arrogant powers and thwart plots hatched by the enemies," Islamic Revolution Leader said.
All should do their best to render invaluable services to laborers in the country, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Referring to the current Iranian year designated as "Year of Economic Jihad, the Islamic Revolution Leader said the enemies try to employ all their potentials in their struggle with Iran in various fields such as culture, security, politics but they are now focusing on the country's economy to attain their sinister goals.
Islamic Revolution Leader advised the laborers to carry out their duties more carefully.
"All should endeavor to improve the quality of Iranian made products and this requires more cooperation among government organizations to this effect," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the country's officials should create more employment opportunities and help promote industry and agriculture.
"The enemies did their utmost to isolate Iran as they fear that the country would turn into an exemplary model of development for other regional countries," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"People in the region show more respect for the Islamic Revolution and the American administration has turned into the most hated government before the eyes of people," Islamic Revolution Leader said.
"Future will be more promising for the nations following the path of Islam in attaining their aspirations," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Failures of enemies along with success of the Iranian nation indicate that the promises given by Almighty God are coming true," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
