Tehran provisional Friday prayer leader Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi said that the nuclear rights are unavoidable for Iran.
Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi made the remarks during the second sermon of Tehran's Friday prayers.
"Despite all plots and mischievous behavior of the Western countries that resulted in intensifying the sanctions after Istanbul Summit, Iran did not withdraw an iota from its rights," he added.
Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi recalled that the Iranian chief negotiator in a meeting with Western officials had reminded them that the venue of meeting was once the palace of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and the West had provided him with latest facilities for confronting Iran.
Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said that why the Western officials do not take lesson from what happened to Saddam Hussein while realizing the present status of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran and the P5+1 held three sessions of plenary talks in Baghdad on May 23 and 24 after an earlier round of negotiations in the Turkish city of Istanbul in mid-April.
The two sides agreed to hold another round of talks in Moscow from June 18-19.
Meanwhile Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi said Western efforts to strengthen the Zionist regime by arming terrorists in Syria are futile as Israel’s expiration date is overdue and it is doomed to extinction.
The six-point peace plan for Syria put forward by the UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan was making good headway until the Western world started arming terrorist groups in the country in an bid to support Israel, Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi said.
Since the Muslim nations of the region are all enemies of the Zionist regime of Israel, they must unite against this cancerous tumor, he added.
