The more sanctions are imposed against I.R.Iran, the more united and flourishing the Iranian nation becomes, Tehran provisional Friday Prayers Leader Hojatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi said.

Addressing thousands of worshippers at Tehran University Campus, Mr. Seddiqi said in his second sermon, ”Countries which impose sanctions should know that Iran has flourished despite sanctions.”

“These countries are making more troubles for their own people than for us,” said Hojatoleslam Seddiqi.

On the victory of Muhammed Morsi in Egyptian presidential election, Mr. Seddiqi said this victory was one of the results of the current Islamic Awakening in that country.

“Morsi's victory in Egypt and people's jubilation in Tahrir Square (in Cairo) and in Gaza shows that this revolutionary movement is an Islamic uprising and Islamists have been elected in any country where a revolution has broken out,” said Seddiqi.

On developments in Bahrain, Seddiqi condemned brutality of the al-Khalifa regime against its own people and stressed that this kind of behavior will speed up the decline of al-Khalifa.

On Iraq, Seddiqi said certain people in Iraq with US help have been plotting to topple the government of Baghdad but the conspiracy was thwarted through the support of people and religious leaders.

He urged the people of Iraq to support their government so that their country can move in the path of progress.
