Human community nowadays is in dire need of a "resurrection of intellect" and "purification of soul," Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Monday in a ceremony held to mark the anniversary of Mab'ath, the auspicious appointment of the Last Messenger of Allah, Hadhrat Muhammad (S.A.) to his divine mission.

Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated the Islamic Ummah on the auspicious Eid, adding that a return of the Muslim nations to pure Islam during the current movements in the Middle East and North Africa shows the nations have eventually realized after prolonged frustrations that all Western or Eastern schools of thought fail to meet human's true needs or make it prosperous except Islam.

Ayatollah Khamenei said human community today was lagging in thought and morality whereas a major goal of the Mab'ath was to rescue human being from moral degradation. "Nations would see their problems resolved once and for all once the goal is fulfilled," the IR Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei said another major goal of Mab'ath was to revive human thought and intellect, adding that the human community was in dire need of ration and thought in order to find the root-causes of the problems that have befallen it.

Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the blatant tyranny of bullying powers in the region and said that the bullying powers never pay any attention to the status of human. "For instance, amid the current economic problems, the world people are witnessing that that domineering power only seek to resolve the problems of bankers or corporations rather than those of people," the IR Leader said.

"The root-cause of all these problems is the world hegemony and its dividing of world into the two opposite poles of domineering versus domineered countries," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the nations can resolve the existing problems by abandoning their domineered position.

The Islamic Revolution Leader warned that the world bullies had embarked on relentless efforts to control or divert the regional revolutions. He called on the revolutionary nations to rely on their God-given intellect, believe in God's promises and decide their fate by resisting against the bullies.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the present dignified status of the Iranian nation was a clear proof that perseverance and resistance against the world bullies would result in dignity and grandeur.

"In the past 33 years, the savvy Iranian nation has been subject to non-stop conspiracies of the world powers; they have actually sought not to allow Iran to become a live model of perseverance and progress for other nations," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding, "this time as well, the ongoing efforts of the domineering powers for sidelining the Iranian nation would fail indeed."

Ayatollah Khamenei added however that God's promises would be fulfilled only once the nations engage in political and social diligence and take risks. "Just having faith in God is not enough for cherishing His promise of victory, rather diligence and patience are required," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei advised the enemies of the Islamic Iran to get lessons from their futile experiences in the face of the diligent, patient Iranian nation and realize that undue expectations or vanity would go nowhere in the face of a nation that has found itself and learnt perseverance and unity from the Holy Koran.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the world of Islam was in dire need of unity, adding that enemies of Islam were seeking to make Muslim Shias and Muslim Sunnis to be afraid of one another.

The IR Leader castigated those individuals within the Muslim community whose conduct proves divisive, adding that some individuals who categorically have no faith in Islam were setting off the fire of division upon demand of the spy services of the world hegemony by expressing concerns about expansion of Shiism.

Ayatollah Khamenei expressed hope the Islamic Ummah in God's favor would prevail over its enemies and that the goals of Mab'ath would be fulfilled in full.
