Friday prayers leader of Tehran Hojjatoleslam Kazem Sediqi on Friday called on Iranian people at large to be vigilant against enemy conspiracies as the subsidy cut plan is implemented.

Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon at Tehran University campus, Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said implementation of the target-oriented subsidy plan will be possible in light of public support, so they should be vigilant against enemy movements while it is enforced.

Since beginning of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, all Iranian statesmen have been trying to relieve country of dependence on oil revenues and ensure national wealth is fairly distributed, said Hojjatoleslam Sediqi, adding, "Today we will meet our dreams."

He called on the media to well brief the public on the subsidy-cut plan.

Sediqi pointed to formation of a popular government in Iraq, saying that under God's grace and despite Americans' procrastinations and displeasure of the US and certain regional states, Iraqi people and officials managed to re-bring their prime minister and president to power.

"We hope that Iraqi people and officials will while maintaining unity take giant strides towards restoration of security and foreign troop pull out from their country."

Hojjatoleslam Sediqi quoted Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei as saying in his annual Hajj congregation message that Kaaba is hub of unity, dignity and spirituality as well as congregation of public from four corners of the world, serving as a means for salvage of Islamic Ummah."
