Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Seddiqi, has said European countries must win the trust and confidence of the Iranian people, by taking part in bona fide negotiations with Iran, focusing on the common ground between the two sides.
Addressing a huge crowd of Friday prayers worshippers and the faithful in Tehran, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Seddiqi emphasized that the West must acknowledge Iran's progress and advancement in science and technology , and Iran's mastery of peaceful civilian nuclear technology. He added: "The Iranian nation welcomes the process of negotiations, based on logic, to resolve differences with European countries".
In further remarks, Tehran's interim Friday Prayers Leader referred to the positive and constructive talks between the Islamic republic of Iran and the 5+1 Group in Istanbul, Turkey, and expressed hope that the 5+1 Group will show its bona fide intentions by lifting the illogical sanctions it had imposed on Iran at the next round of talks, which will be held in Baghdad, Iraq, on 23rd May.
In further remarks, Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Seddiqi said the Islamic Republic of Iran will never forego or relinquish its lawful nuclear rights, and that the European countries really needed to re-think and reconsider their policies towards Iran , and that ultimately this will be in their own interests as well.
Emphasizing that the arrogant powers were trying to change the name of the "Persian Gulf", in order to cause divisions and disputes between regional Muslim nations , Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Seddiqi stressed that there is plenty of historical evidence and historical documents , many of them held in the United Nations, which prove that the body of water between Iran and the Arabian peninsula has always been called the Persian Gulf -- certainly for well over 2500 years.
