Provisional Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami has advised the UN Security Council and Europe not to fall into disgrace, relying on the UK false claims.

Delivering his second Friday prayers sermon, Ayatollah Khatami said the UK has lost face before the Muslim world, especially Iran, so it wants to have the European states and international organizations share such a hefty cost with it.

He said the UK has lost its fame, adding London has times and again suffered deadly blow on Iran’s part, an example of which being recent approval of Majlis to sever ties with the kingdom.

Such a valuable approval is among positive and praiseworthy moves of Majlis, said the cleric, adding that the British people have a 100-year record of treachery against Islamic Iran.
