Tehran Friday Prayers Leader, Hojjatoleslam Kazem Sediqi, says people’s warm welcome to Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in his visit to western Kermanshah Province is sign of their love in “Velayat” (Guardianship of jurisprudence).

“Glorious public turnout in the ceremony in the city has its roots in a deep belief and love in Velayat,” Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said in his second Friday prayers sermon addressed to large groups of Tehrani worshippers in Tehran University campus on Friday.

Sediqi said the Supreme Leader is visiting Kermanshah under conditions when Islamic awakening has overwhelmed the entire region and the awakening movement has just begun in the US and Europe.

He said the visit coincides with westerners’ “mischievous and hostile” claim of Iran facing public discontent alike other countries.

Pointing to the challenges Iran has been facing over the past 32 years, including the eight-year imposed war (1980-88), nuclear issue, the 2009 post-vote plot, and economic sanctions, Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said in all the cases, public presence won victory and prosperity for the country, overcoming all the challenges.
