Islamic Iran could not afford to go indifferent towards the international affairs and the status of the Muslim world, Interim Friday Prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami said.

The Friday prayers leader said the IRI Constitution champions human's prosperity and for the same reason, it supports the struggle of the underprivileged against the Arrogant superpowers anywhere in the world.

"The Islamic System must constitutionally support any Muslim or human being whose rights are trodden on," Ayatollah Khatami said.

The Friday prayers leader then referred to several international conferences staged in recent weeks in Tehran and called them a token that the Islamic Republic has found its position in the world.

Mr. Khatami called the landmark address of the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei to the conferences as a statement of pledge for the current Islamic awakening.

The Friday prayers leader described the recent uprisings as a drop from the sea of Islamic Awakening rooted in the Iranian revolution (1979).

He urged the peoples of the revolutionary nations to beware against any receipt offered by alien countries for their internal affairs.
