Interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran, Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami condemned the US for violation of human rights and thanked the Iranian parliament for considering a one-urgency draft law signed by 200 lawmakers for sanctioning and prosecution of US officials.

Ayatollah Khatami termed the US authorities as biggest violators of human rights and the ones who regard no value for human lives.

"An American youngster was shot five times and killed by US police because he had not paid his bus fare while they are claiming to advocate human rights," Mr. Khatami slammed.

The Friday prayers leader then pointed to the presence of Egyptian revolutionaries in Tahrir Square, saying the Egyptian revolutionaries proved they are as eager in pursuing to oust and try Mubarak's lackeys as the day they expelled Mubarak himself.

Ayatollah Khatami also acknowledged the Egyptians' anti-Zionist stance and pointed to the US threat that it would cut financial aid to Egypt if Tel Aviv interests were endangered. "The gesture shows the US greed in the country," he added.

Ayatollah Khatami also praised Bahrainis' resistance, adding," The Bahraini people have a logical demand which is 'every Bahraini has a vote and the government should stage elections'."

"But al-Khalifa and al-Saud reacted to the logical demand with torture and bullets," Ayatollah Sayyed Ahmad Khatami deplored.
