Navy's robust presence shows national dignity

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei told a large gathering of Iranian naval forces and their families in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran Saturday night that the robust presence of the naval forces on the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman's coasts helps demonstrate the national dignity of the Iranian nation and the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.

In the meeting staged in the IRGC commanding center, Ayatollah Khamenei said the enemies were bent on undermining the Iranian national sovereignty and that the nation, particularly the authorities, political groups and people from different sects must keep their national unity and avoid any differences.

Ayatollah Khamenei then pointed to the presence of naval forces over the high seas and said the strategic presence gives a message of dignity for other nations as it shows that the Iranian nation, albeit facing a massive enemy front and enduring sheer obscurity, has managed to accomplish the current extent of ability by reliance on self and trust in God.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the strategic presence was in service of humanity as the Iranian nation proved through standing by its original principles that the path of national dignity never faces a dead end and that any other nation can get dignity, power and wealth if it wills.

Ayatollah Khamenei then touched on different enemy schemes to frustrate the nations and undermine their national resolve, namely spread of narcotics and provocation of internal schism, adding that all Iranian people are nowadays called by the holy Koranic verse that "And hold fast to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and do not be divided" (3:103).

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the great Islamic Revolution of Iran and the resolve of the Iranian nation in the past 33 years despite any pressures and conspiracies by the world arrogance, adding that the sole path of the regional nations to salvation was to tread the track of the Iranian nation and that the effects and fruits of such a resolve had started to emerge.

Ayatollah Khamenei then bemoaned a fake enemy propaganda against Islam and the Iranian nation and an attempt on the part of the enemies to distort the realities on the ground. "An example of such western propaganda came recently after a criminal act in a northern European country in which they leveled the finger at Muslims from the early minutes; the issue proves the western propaganda is malicious and fake," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

"Such accusations and propaganda would never affect the Iranian nation or other Muslim nations," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the prosperity and salvation of the Iranian nation in this world and afterlife could only be achieved under an Islamic framework and that the progressive movement of the Islamic System has so far helped revive Islam and the resolve of the regional nations.
