Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei described the Holy Koran as the most significant means of unity, dignity and grandeur of the Islamic Ummah, adding that the current uprisings of the regional nations was a clear proof that God's promises in the holy book would definitely come true.

Ayatollah Khamenei was speaking to organizers and participants of the 28th International Competitions on the Holy Koran Tuesday.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the international competitions point to immense capacities the holy book offers to Muslims to get united, adding that all Muslim nations are obedient to the exceptional Divine gift and the reality was a precious opportunity for the materialization of Islamic unity.

Ayatollah Khamenei regretted that Muslims have fallen short of attending to the unifying capacity of the Holy Koran, adding that Muslims have failed to get united and dignified due to lack of belief in the Koranic teachings and Divine promises.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation through its revolution in the path of God had verified the credibility of the promise of God in the Holy Koran that "Truly, God would not change the conditions of a people until they change what is in themselves" (13:11).

"It was a definite miracle that Iran turned into a powerful pole of struggle against Imperialism and Zionism from a US, and Zionist-dependent entity; it is a materialization of God's promise of assistance enshrined in the Koran," the IR Leader added.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the uprisings of the regional nations provide another token that God's promises would absolutely take place. "The US, the Zionists and their political attaches once were not even ready to think of an uprising by the Egyptian revolution; the nation however came to help of Divine religion by Allah-u Akbar slogan and congregational prayers. God too assisted the nation, proving once more that no power can prevail over anyone whom is assisted by God," the IR Leader added.
