"The issue of Quds Day has offered an example for many Islamic movements," Interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati said in his second sermon of Friday prayer ceremony.
Ayatollah Jannati pointed to the International Quds Day as the great initiative of the Father of Islamic Revolution Hazrat Imam Khomeini and said," The Day not only consolidated the roots of the Islamic system but also became a pattern for Islamic countries."
Tehran's Friday prayers leader said the Islamic Awakening in the region was inspired by the Islamic Revolution of Iran, adding that if the Islamic Revolution of Iran did not take place and the day of Quds had not been designated, the people of those countries would have been repressed by their rulers for many more years.
Ayatollah Jannati said the Quds Day gave a message to the world and caused the world people to protest against the Zionist regime.
Ayatollah Jannati moreover pointed to the popular protests in the US, Britain and the Occupied Palestine adding," The British uprisings were unprecedented in the history of the country."
"These uprisings are against arrogance and injustice," the Friday prayers leader of Tehran added.
Ayatollah Jannati said pure justice will be brought by the Imam of Age, Hazrat Mahdi, may God hasten his reappearance.
