Tehran’s interim Friday prayers leader, Hojjatoleslam Kazem Seddiqi, said that the leaders of Egypt’s revolutionary people now wish that they had a leader like the Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei while calling our leader Imam Khamenei.

Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi made the remark in his Friday prayers sermon in Tehran.

Commenting on the advantages of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, Tehran’s Friday prayer leader said that most important consequence of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution was getting rid of a regime which was dependent both militarily and economically on the West and promoted the western culture in Iran.

“The people of Egypt should stand firmly against the US and those who oppose the popular movement of Egypt and those who try to weaken the morale of Egyptians,” Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi added.

He called on the academics of Egypt’s al-Azhar University to remain in the scene and maintain their unity.

“The experience of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution can be very useful for the people of Egypt,” he further noted.
