Provisional Friday prayers leader of Tehran, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, on Friday thanked Ankara for expulsion of the Zionist regime's ambassador and canceling its trade, military and defense pacts with the regime.
"All Muslim countries should do the act and those countries not yet taking up the action should be regretful otherwise they will face the same situation as Egypt when (the country's dictator Hosni) Mubarak was in power."
He however pointed to deployment of missile shield in Turkey, saying the country was not expected to agree to the deployment.
"Turkey's agreement to deployment of NATO missile shield in its territory means NATO military presence there. That would harm regional security, creating new problems for regional people day by day."
He said the agreement by Turkey can not be justified.
The Friday prayers leader then referred to situation in Bahrain, terming martyrdom of a 14-year-old youth there as "a bitter event."
He said martyrdom has always served protection and promotion of Islam as martyrdom of the Bahraini youth created a new wave in the country.
